Just.produced: Jess Eaton Road Kill Couture

An attempt to film a short fashion documentary as part of one of my university projects led to the discovery of a fantastic local ethical designer, and eventually to the creation of my first short documentary. Below is the first edit which is to be perfected in time after learning more in depth editing skills.

A small team of us worked together to direct and produce this piece on an ethical fashion concept. It features an Interview with Jess Eaton, a fashion designer and conceptual artist and the publics reactions to her work.

Just.seen: Warhol Is Here!

I had the chance to see the Andy Warhol exhibition at the De La Warr Pavilion, and to see his famous Marilyn Diptich!

There was such a vast and varied collection of his work, from his screen prints to his movie posters through to his polaroids.

I love this series of photographs, in all the others he has a selection of wigs on, but this has such a simplicity and innocence about it. There is no disguise or pretence, it is simply just Andy.

Just.seen: La Nuit Blanche

Tonight was that magic day in October when the clocks change and we get that extra hour. Brighton celebrates this 'White Night' with a mix of exhibitions, interactive art and events with numerous performances by bands, choirs, dancers and artists.
One of the giant mythical creature paper sculptures on display across the old steine.
I managed to get out and explore a small selection of the things 'White Night' had to offer, from a short trip to heaven and hell, a chance to build my utopian self in a utopian future world out of clay and telephone the far away woods and hear the owls hooting.

Just.missed: LFW Menswear Day

I was really quite excited about menswear day, as it is quite a new edition to Fashion Week. Yesterday I saw the exhibition spaces being transformed once more into new and exciting displays. Today I woke up rather ill. So to make up for missing menswear day, I'd thought I might add a couple of pictures of some of the guys I photographed earlier in the week.

I love this guys relaxed style, not to mention I LOVE his Prada brogues!!!

This is a such a simple monochrome look, it just looks effortless.

I really like this guys unusual use of layering, you can see the blue shirt just enough at the neck and cuffs.

Just.seen: LFW Day 5

The last day of Fashion Week before everything gets transformed for Menswear day tomorrow! Things are drawing to a close after this crazy week! I managed to catch one last womenswear show before I left tonight. I saw one of Aminaka Wilmont's first collections at Fashion Week way back in 2009 and so was very excited to see what they were going to do this season. I was a little bit disappointed by the first few looks they sent down the runway as I felt it was nothing different to the digital prints I had seen earlier in the week in many of the shows. However I was not disappointed for long as their signature deconstructed look soon emerged and finished the show off in style.

I thought I'd add a final round up of the street style photos I took before menswear day tomorrow. Enjoy some of the creative looks I snapped throughout the week.

Love this space nebular maxi and the fact it matches her hair.

One of the best dressed couples I saw all week!

I have totally enjoyed every minute of fashion week, even if I am totally exhausted! Excited for menswear day tomorrow before it really is all over!

Just.worn: LFW Day 4

As the sun was shining today I thought it was safe enough to rock my purple suede Dr Martens with a pair of faux leather trousers from H&M and a rocker tee of one of my friends bands, Shaped by Fate.

Another eventful day today. I spotted Samantha Cameron looking round the exhibition before quietly leaving at the embankment entrance. She was also spotted on the front row of a few shows this Fashion Week including Erdem, Christopher Kane and Burberry. I am a bit of a fan of the PMs wife's simple relaxed style, and her ability to mix high street and high end fashion.

I later managed get in to see the Todd Lynn show a mix of both womanswear and menswear with a simple, clean colour pallet and a mix of knit and tailoring. Check out some of his collection below.
