Nothing ruins a perfect evening out quite like an oncoming attacker. Here, Lara Stone models not only the finest collections of the season, but also the Krav Maga defence moves utilised by the Israeli Army. DO NOT BE A VICTIM...

This is one of the latest editorials featured in V76, its a unique concept and it features the most lovely clothes as well as the lovely model Lara Stone. I chose this editorial to feature today for two reasons, 1 In support of International Women's Day and 2 it shows how strong, powerful and beautiful all women can be. We all deserve to be treated equally and be recognised for our achievements, and we deserve to be supported in our causes both by other women and by men.

The members of International Women's Day would like to remind us that:
With more women in the boardroom, greater equality in legislative rights, and an increased critical mass of women's visibility as impressive role models in every aspect of life, one could think that women have gained true equality. The unfortunate fact is that women are still not paid equally to that of their male counterparts, women still are not present in equal numbers in business or politics, and globally women's education, health and the violence against them is worse than that of men.

However, great improvements have been made. We do have female astronauts and prime ministers, school girls are welcomed into university, women can work and have a family, women have real choices. And so the tone and nature of IWD has, for the past few years, moved from being a reminder about the negatives to a celebration of the positives.

Please support this cause by sharing this day with the women you know and a little reminded to the men out there, it is traditional to give flowers to the women around you.

  1. Brilliant piece! I like have they have combined the two concepts together. It makes the visuals more interesting to look at and is more eye-catching :)

    1. It really is! Plus I love the fact you see the movement in the pictures and that there not fixed poses.
