Just.love: The Body Shop

I have been so so busy this weekend, what with job interviews and large amounts of unfinished coursework, so here is a little image to give you an idea of what I have been up to...

What I have been busy doing, is attending group interviews and shop floor trials for a new job at The Body Shop. Already a firm addict of their mango body butter (complete summery indulgence), and pretty much the rest of the shop, it seemed perfect sense to get a job there.
Which is exactly what I did and I cannot wait to get my hands on the make up counter as soon as I start tomorrow!
I am so excited to work for such a great ethical company, its going to be a most welcome refreshing change. Not to mention how much I love them already for giving me the biggest tub of mango body butter for just turning up for my first interview!

Just.worn: White on White

Today was the warmest day of the year and I needed no excuse to cut up another pair of jeans into shorts! I'm loving all the white on white looks I'm seeing everywhere right now, and since seeing Chloe Sevigny teaming a pair of white cut offs with a Boy London tee, I had to rock my own version of her look! All be it with a big grey knitted jumper until it warmed up properly.

Just.worn: Monochrome Denim

More denim today! A double dose of denim no less. I love these black skinny's, but should probably let some of my other jeans see the sunshine this week, so I promise to find another pair of jeans to wear tomorrow. But for today at least I teamed my black skinny's with my mums old white Levi's jacket. I always love raiding my mums wardrobe, I never know what treasures I might find.

Just.worn: Choo Shoes

The sun continues to shine and I couldn't resist rocking another graphic print tee, and my latest find from Ebay, a vintage pair of snakeskin Jimmy Choo's! You can find all sorts on Ebay, all for amazing prices, these Jimmy Choo's have to be my steal of the decade. As far as amazing prices go... £38 for a pair of vintage Jimmy Choo's, yes you heard me, £38!!! AMAZING!

Just.worn: Rocks & Hi tops

I can’t resist a trip to the seaside when the sun is out and its warm enough to rock just rolled up jeans and a tee. I had a bit of fun on the rocks wearing my Springcourts, which happen to be the best sneaks for rock hopping in!

Just.seen: Boy London

Just.spotted: Rihanna dressed head to toe in Boy London and Chloe Sevigny rocking a Boy London tee for casual street style.

Boy London, once the stuff of legend, beloved by the underground and coveted by everyone. Worn by all the cool kids and by every youth movement that ever mattered. Boy comes with attitude and unmistakable graphic prints. Rocking Dj sets in Selfridges for its new collection launch, nothing has changed from the time their original store was partying as much as it was selling clothes. Now just as in demand as it ever was, the new generation of fans it has created cannot get enough of it, including me!

Apart from wanting to replace all the tees I own with everything Boy, I also need their black snapback in my life! I love teaming graphic tees with denim, I love both the simplicity of it and the statement it makes. I think I will definitely be visiting the brands new shop Sick, which is full of vintage goodies and new collaborations, and I won't be leaving empty handed!

Now totally inspired by the amazing tees by Boy London, I think I am going to have to showcase a selection of my denim and tee collection as part of my March challenge to create and wear a different look everyday.

These collaboration tees from Boy with brand Long have potential for so many Diy projects. I can sense some Adam Saaks for Ed Hardy Tshirt cutting on the horizon!

Just.worn: Vintage Blazer

Nothing looks better with a blazer than a classic white shirt. I have an ever growing collection of white shirts, mostly oversize vintage men's ones. Everyone should have a selection of white shirts in their wardrobe, they are a major staple!

Just.read: V Magazine - Power to Women

GET BACK, STAY BACK
Photography Nick Knight
Styling Carine Roitfeld

Nothing ruins a perfect evening out quite like an oncoming attacker. Here, Lara Stone models not only the finest collections of the season, but also the Krav Maga defence moves utilised by the Israeli Army. DO NOT BE A VICTIM...

This is one of the latest editorials featured in V76, its a unique concept and it features the most lovely clothes as well as the lovely model Lara Stone. I chose this editorial to feature today for two reasons, 1 In support of International Women's Day and 2 it shows how strong, powerful and beautiful all women can be. We all deserve to be treated equally and be recognised for our achievements, and we deserve to be supported in our causes both by other women and by men.

The members of International Women's Day would like to remind us that:
With more women in the boardroom, greater equality in legislative rights, and an increased critical mass of women's visibility as impressive role models in every aspect of life, one could think that women have gained true equality. The unfortunate fact is that women are still not paid equally to that of their male counterparts, women still are not present in equal numbers in business or politics, and globally women's education, health and the violence against them is worse than that of men.

However, great improvements have been made. We do have female astronauts and prime ministers, school girls are welcomed into university, women can work and have a family, women have real choices. And so the tone and nature of IWD has, for the past few years, moved from being a reminder about the negatives to a celebration of the positives.

Please support this cause by sharing this day with the women you know and a little reminded to the men out there, it is traditional to give flowers to the women around you.

Just.Worn: Bare legs & a Floaty Skirt

The sun did come out briefly for the first part of the day, and it was lovely. I was brave enough to go for bare legs today and luckily, I did not have run back inside to put on more layers! It's not often you catch me in a skirt not made of denim, but this one somehow manage to find its way into my wardrobe. Its great to style as the dipped hem at the back makes such a fun and playful look, especially if there's a bit of wind.

Just.worn: Y-3 Sneaks

It's about time I put up a post featuring my Y-3 sneaks. Words cannot describe how much I love trainers, I am a total sneaker addict! If only I could afford to add a pair of Isabel Marant wedges to my collection, but for now, I might be able to stretch to a pair of COOL Ash sneaks instead.

Just.worn: That Old Hat

forgot how much I love a good old hat. How I came to forget this I do not know, considering I spent most of last summer in a straw hat of some kind, Trilby's, Cowboy's, Panama's. That aside this beautiful brown small brim floppy has got to be my rediscovery of the year! (Well... so far, there's a lot more spring-cleaning to be getting on with). I wasn't quite sure what to team it with, seeing as it goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. So being me, I just threw on a pair of skinny's and a plain tee. However as this hat has not been out for a long time I thought it deserved something a little more, my new handmade chain body harness perhaps?
I have seen various styles of chain mail popping up online and in a few high street shops (Asos, Topshop). I just had to try a bit of DIY and create my own, which I reckon looks pretty good for a first attempt. I am now totally addicted and I think it wont be long until I have my own little collection of chain harnesses.

Just.worn: A Splash of Red

My outfit today pretty much screams I hate Mondays. It was a miserable cold morning and its safe to say I wasn't feeling like much of a morning person. Not wanting to leave my bed behind to go to my university lectures, I decided the next best thing was to wear an all black version of it, not that it actually resembled a duvet, but it was warm and cosy. However, the one thing that did brighten up my day, was the excuse to finally use my new bright red Marc Jacobs laptop case.

Just.worn: Leather & Denim

I'm more for clashing textures rather than prints, so today my outfit does exactly that. I love my leather trousers teamed with a fitted denim shirt. Its a simple look and I love simplicity in an outfit. I try to keep all my outfits quite minimal, as I find too much fuss can sometimes end up a mess.

Just.worn: Golden buys & March Madness

Time to reveal my most recent golden buy from Portobello road.

Never knowing what I might find and fall in love with when snooping the vintage stalls at the bottom of Portobello Road, I am always resided to the fact I might find nothing at all. But the moment I glanced up and saw this beautiful Kenzo sheepskin shrug hanging from the rails, I knew I had to have it. No sooner then I had seen it, I found myself stood next to it, slipping it off the hanger and trying it on and it was a matter of moments before it was mine.
I styled it simply, with a plain jumper and my old coated denim skirt, finished with a large clutch. Add a pair of Kurt Geiger patent flats and I was ready for anything the day could throw at me.

Spring is now officially here and I think March could be a month for some new challenges. So what challenge could I set?
I am going to attempt to post a different look everyday (or at least every weekday as I usually spend the weekend in my work uniform and pyjamas) and I might try to create an Outfit Of The Day video blog on my youtube channel. So let the month of blogging madness commence!

Check my progress on Bloglovin' and Youtube.
