Just.want: Wishlist - Coffee Table Books

 From Top Left -
Carine Roitfeld: Irreverent / Tom Ford: Ten Years / Maison Martin Margiela / Chanel: Collections and Creations / In Vogue: The Illustrated History Of The Worlds Most Famous Fashion Magazine

I love a good coffee table book to flick through on a rainy day whilst curled up on the sofa. Here are my top 5 choices I would love to add to my collection. However, I might need to buy a more sturdy coffe table first, as many table legs tremble at the sight of the above books! Although as some of these big books also come with a big price tag, so for now at least... my coffee table is safe. To nurture my fashion soul in the mean time, I settled for a copy of Facehunter and The Sartorialist, both smaller in price and size, yet crammed with just as much fashion as the heavyweights!

Just.worn: Chilled Summers Eve

The sun has come back a little bit this weekend, which can mean only one thing... BBQ time! Plus the first outing of my beautiful new wedges, (although sorry for the such poor picture quality, the sun was shining a bit bright).
So in between eating burgers and drinking cider, I managed to get a few photos of what I was wearing today. Me in one of my favourite combos, rolled up skinny jeans and a plain tee, topped up with with a nice warm furry gillet. I kept the rest this outfit simple with just a few pieces of vintage jewellery, but not forgetting the most important accessory... a bottle of cider (not cidre)!

Just.worn: Skulls & Queen Viv

I think from all my latest outfits its apparent I love skulls right now. But the best skull piece in my wardrobe right now has to be my beautiful Vivienne Westwood skull sandals. Worn here with a simple outfit, of just a plain white tee and rolled up leather trousers (not sure what it is lately, but I love a rolled up pair of trousers). Not forgetting a serious piece of bling to, well... bling up this outfit!

Just.heard: H&M AND MARGIELA

Margiela, one of my favourite designers is set to collaborate with H&M later this year. I can see myself wanting to own all of it, even if I have to que up all night, as this will be one H&M collaboration I will not be wanting to miss!
The collection will be available mid November (simply not soon enough)!

We are very happy to present MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA pieces with H&M, offering a new interpretation of our vision. The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further. We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.” MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA

Here's a small glimpse into Maison Martin Margiela...

Just.worn: Sunshine & Showers

Greetings from the slightly sunny, but mostly wet English Riviera.

I totally made the most of the weather this morning and caught as many rays as I could whilst I was out and about, but it was short lived. Soon the blue sky faded and the grey clouds could only mean one thing… rain! So as much as I was trying to have a break and enjoy my holiday, sat inside watching the rain hit the window can be rather boring to say the least, if not expected of a British summer holiday!

So here’s a little blog post of the beautiful Torquay harbor/the sandy beaches of Devon in the sunshine while it lasted, and me in a rather reflective pair of mirrored aviators.

Just.worn: Neon Skulls

Nothing like a bit of neon to brighten up a miserable day and nothing like a bit neon adorned with a studded skull to brighten my mood. This is outfit pretty much screams 'I love Skulls' (which is probably true). I do love a good skull print here and there and if its jewelled or studded... even better!

Just.unlocked: The Crown Jewels

Seeing as old Liz has been around 60 years, I thought I should write a post more in line with all the Jubilee celebrations. Rather than going for the cliche red, white and blue, I thought I would write a glistening post not exactly about the crown jewels but of all my precious glittering vintage gems (which might not be as expensive, but are invaluable to me)! So see if you can spot all my vintage beauties.

The Jewels
My beautiful pearl necklace was a present from my lovely mum for my last birthday and the exquisitely engraved silver bangle was my 21st birthday present for the previous year. I spy several more items that were presents from mum hidden amongst all the other gems. A pair of Art Deco mother of pearl earrings, my favourite rock and roll studded silver ring and not forgetting my amazing marcasite and opal Art Nouveau pendant.
The cool turquoise ring was given to me from my rock n roll aunt. Whilst the ruby pendant was given to me by my other rockin aunt!
The sparkling diamond ring sat in the curl of pearls was given to me from my nan, who also bought me my rare black pearl pendant and the very dainty hanging pearl chain.
I bought myself the giant moonstone ring from a little vintage market in Florence when I was there in February. Plus the extremely well hidden tiny silver skull earrings and Vivienne Westwood skull bracelet (10 points if you can spot where they are).

Just.bought: Snakeskin Wedges

I cant believe it's June already, which can only mean two things... one we are halfway through another year and two (more importantly) it's almost my birthday! It's been a crazy year so far and I am sure there is plenty more madness to come. So with a brand new purchase, I thought it would be good to have a little recap on the year, more specifically on the progress of my 12 for 2012 Challenge. But first more about these absolute beauties, which I bought last week.

Now that summer has sort of arrived, I thought it was about time that I found myself a pair of killer wedges. Which is exactly what I did and to make it even better they only cost me £25. I'm not gonna lie, I do love finding a bargain and it is even better when I have been staring at them online for the past month priced at £50 with my cursor hovering over the check out button, only to walk into Office to try them on and find that they are half price!

I cannot wait to find an excuse to wear these, but until that moment, has anyone got any ideas how I could style them?

Read on to see what key pieces I have added to my wardrobe as part of my challenge.
